Laura Wells, B.S.
Laura Wells joined our staff in December 2012. She came here from Asheville, North Carolina where she was a veterinary assistant for many years. Laura is most commonly found in our surgery suite assisting our doctors with surgeries of all kinds. She lives in Key Largo with her partner, three dogs, two cats and twelve chickens.
Mackenzie L. Lambert, A.A.
Mackenzie Lambert grew up in southern New Jersey and moved to the keys in August of 2006. Mackenzie started his post-secondary education at Miami-Dade Community College where he earned his Associates of the Arts. He now attends Florida International University where he will earn his Bachelor of Arts in August of 2015 and continue towards working towards his Masters in Fine Arts.
Mackenzie lives in Key Largo with his wife Tiffany, a dental hygienist at Florida Keys Dentistry, and their 5 year old daughter Eva. They have a dog, Cindy Lou and 3 cats that complete their family. Mackenzie is K-Laser certified and has been in the veterinary field since January 2008.
Pam Dukstein, B.S.
Pam is originally from Allen Park, MI. She earned her Elementary Education Degree at the University of Central Florida. Pam then relocated to Chicago, IL for 10 years. While in Chicago Pam went to grooming school.
Upon completion of grooming school Pam returned to Florida. She now resides in Tavernier, FL with her Australian Shepherd, Foxy. Pam enjoys working as our groomer and a kennel technician in our newly renovated kennel area.
Sally has lived in the Upper Keys with her husband since 1985. She has had a variety of pets, including dogs, cats, reptiles and avians. In her free time, Sally enjoys cooking and spending weekends with her husband.
Lorena lives in the Upper Keys with her husband and two sons. She is an avid runner and routinely competes in competitive races. She is dedicated to the patients in her care and is often found in our Intensive Car Unit providing extra love and attention to hospitalized patients.
Lorelle Pye, MS
Lorelle comes to us from the Ft. Pierce area where she grew up. She likes to travel and loves being on the water. Lorelle lives with her cat, Pisquinta.
Alexandra Mancini, BS
Alex first moved to the Florida Keys in 2014 from her hometown of Raleigh, North Carolina. She has a bachelors in Marine Biology with a minor in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Alex has worked in the veterinary field since 2010 and has specialized experience in veterinary cardiology. In addition to dogs and cats, Alex has experience in the care of reptiles, birds, prosimian primates, fish and invertebrates, cetaceans and pinnipeds. At home, she has two cats, Carol (16 years) and Mako (1 year).
